About the Owl Foundation

The Owl Foundation began in the 1970’s and was started to help owls and other raptors that are injured, diseased or starving. Injuries are most often the result of being hit by a car. Ideally the birds will be released by into the wild but some birds that can’t survive because of their injuries are kept and become foster parents for orphans.

Please keep in mind that these owls are allowed to live as normal a life as possible and the opportunity to take photographs may be limited.

Location and Directions: Details about the tour will be provided once participants have registered and paid their fee. There is no public transportation to this area. The Foundation Gift Shop will be open throughout the day.

Accessibility: Participants will walk slowly through the Owl Foundation. Expect some uneven ground and some stairs which could be slippery if it has rained. Approximate distance is .5 km.
