Trip Description: 

Point Pelee National Park : Sunday, September 18th

Leader: Jeremy Hatt. Meet 8:00 a.m. at the Visitor Centre in the Park. Entry fee. Birding around the Visitor Centre, at the Tip, and in the surrounding area including the onion fields. Fall migrants, raptors, seabirds, shorebirds, Monarch butterflies. Park entry fee required.

Who can come: Trip is for OFO members.  One birding buddy is allowed where required. Maximum: 20 participants.

Location: Visitor Centre: Point Pelee National Park.

What to bring: Water, sunscreen, insect repellent , snacks, picnic lunch. Please contact trip leader in advance if you require loaner binoculars or accommodations by sending email to: admin@ofo.ca. 

A telescope is useful on this fieldtrip. 

Terrain: Flat terrain. Slow pace. 

Facilities: Restrooms available. Picnic lunch will be taken in the park prior to birding outside the park during the afternoon.

We are on the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, composed of the Ojibwa, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. Specifically, this is the home of Caldwell First Nation, and part of the house of Walpole Island First Nation. We acknowledge the caregivers of this land and all the moccasins that have travelled it over time.
